How fake TRON energy rental works: seed-phrase “delegation,” activation payments that never raise EnergyLimit, and what a real DelegateResource looks like.
If they need your seed, it is not a rental
Real energy rental is the seller signing DelegateResource from their stake to your address. Your EnergyLimit rises. Your seed is irrelevant. Any flow that starts with “enter your 12 words so we can delegate into the wallet” is importing your keys into their laptop.
This independent desk will never ask for a seed phrase. TronLink will never ask you to type a seed into a rental website. Treat that request as the whole scam, even if a small TRX test landed first.
Activation fees that never move EnergyLimit
The second pattern is a payment to an “energy miner,” “resource pool,” or “unlock address.” You send TRX or USDT. Nothing delegates. Chat support then asks for a larger “gas completion” payment. There is no completion step in the protocol.
Verify with the rental checker: after the first payment, did EnergyLimit on your address rise? If not, stop paying. A TRX transfer to the seller is not proof of energy.
Drain DApps wearing a rental costume
Some links ask you to connect and sign so they can “credit energy.” The signature is a token approval or an account-permission change. EnergyLimit does not move; USDT does, outward, later.
A deep scan on this site is not that DApp. Optional deep scan is read-only, about 2–3 TRX, and never asks for a seed or an unlimited USDT allowance as “energy.”
What a real rental leaves on-chain
A DelegateResource (or the Stake 2.0 equivalent your explorer labels) from the seller to you, plus your EnergyLimit up. Duration should match what you bought. When the lock ends, Limit falls — that part is honest, not a scam, which is why scammers impersonate it.
If the seller cannot produce the delegation hash, you bought a story. Keep your remaining keys offline from them. Do not “verify” a new wallet they generate for you.
After you already paid
Stop sending. Document the payment hash. Do not enter a seed on a recovery page they send next — that is the second act. Stake your own TRX for energy if you still need to move USDT, or use a rental channel you already used successfully in the past.

No. If EnergyLimit did not rise, a second payment will not delegate energy either.
Can a scammer delegate energy without my seed?
Yes — that would actually be a real delegation. They do not need your seed for that, which is why seed requests prove the pitch is false.
Does tronenergycalculator.org rent energy?
No. We only read public resource fields. We never take TRX to activate an account.
Is expired rental a scam?
Not by itself. Legitimate delegated energy is supposed to expire. A scam is paying and never receiving Limit in the first place.

Can deep scan recover rented energy I did not receive?
